There is good news for AFSCME members looking to pursue higher education. AFSCME Free College has made its bachelor’s degree completion program a permanent benefit.

That means that AFSCME members and their families can earn a bachelor’s degree for free, making an even wider choice of career options a possibility for more people.

HOPE 2021 Meet & Confer Negotiations Process:

Over the last 15 years, HOPE Members have worked together to win improvements in Compensation, Benefits, Policies, and Procedures.

The Current 2018 Meet and Confer Agreement (Linked HERE) will expire on June 30th, 2021, which means City Employees will have the opportunity to negotiate a new one that addresses our top concerns for the next few years.

Negotiating Team Composition:

The HOPE Negotiating Team will be made up of twenty-five (25) Members in Good Standing along with the Union President per the Constitution and Bylaws and an experienced Chief Negotiator.

Negotiating Team Online Elections:

The Negotiating Team Elections will be held online and voting will open Thursday, February 11th, at 7:00 AM CST be close on Saturday, February 13th at 7:00 PM CST.

The results will be sent via email to all members, posted on the hopetx.org website, and shared on the HOPE Facebook immediately following the verification of the Election Committee.
